December 4th, 2019
I am on hiatus for the month of December performing at the lovely John Walter museum in Edmonton, Alberta for McDades' yearly Candlelight Christmas series. Here I am playing Hey Ho Nobody Home (I can tell because of the pick in my mouth) in a beautiful heritage one-room home with Shannon Johnson and Solon McDade. On the right is the view of pioneer John Walter's first home (built 1876) from the home we play in (built 1884).

Music By The Season Summer Outdoor Classes
Music By The Season held three outdoor classes on Mount Royal this summer. It was absolutely beautiful under the shade of the trees at the top of the hill up from Parc Avenue. And it was wonderful to be together and sing about nature surrounded by nature.

Workshop at the Marché des possibles!
Last Saturday I packed up my instruments and props and headed off to play Pop Montreal's Marché des possibles in the Mile End. We created a big circle using all the picnic tables in the park and held class in the middle. As a music and nature educator, I found this beautiful outdoor setting perfect for class. It was breezy and intimate and we were surrounded by trees. Thanks to everybody who came out; It was really fun.
The Earthworm Song
This Spring I wrote a song about earthworms. Here I am with our earthworm puppet getting answers from the kids about the ways in which earthworms help us in the garden: ie: by helping to mix up all the organic waste and by poking holes in the soil to let air and water circulate.
Singing about trees... amidst trees; how fitting!
